Photography Tip

August 28, 2010

If you know Yaletown you probably know about the strange Horse Statue behind the Yaletown Skytrain station. I honestly don’t know why they put this statue up. Its really weird and doesn’t really fit in with the area. One thing I love to do in my photography, is find new ways of looking at objects [...]

Photography Lesson

August 28, 2010

So I can add photography instructor to my resume. Well maybe? I got together with Adrian Eden a yaletown web designer and taught him some photography tricks. We wondered down to false creek at the bottom of Davie Street. While we were there an outrigger capsized, and we saw a harbour seal at the Yatetown [...]

Sweeny’s Yaletown

August 27, 2010

Had some tasty flatbread, samosa and soup at @Amuse_Events Last summer tweet-up. Sweeny’s is a cozy restaurant that offers “slow food”. After trying the samples they had, I may have to go back and try the lunch menu. Apparently they make a mean pulled pork sandwich and they have a great patio.

Vignoble Winery Quebec

August 25, 2010

Some of the best desert wine I’ve ever had is made in Quebec at Vignoble De Ste- Petronille on île d’Orléans. Not only do they make great wines they have fantastic views of the Chute on the other side of the St Lawrence River.

Iona on the other hand has [...]

Netsquared Camp Vancouver The Un-conferance

August 14, 2010

I’m at Net2Camp Vancouver to take photos for the Vancouver Observer. What’s that? It’s an unconference bringing together nonprofits, activists and social entrepreneurs with their friends and allies in the world of technology and communications (social media folk, developers, designers, writers, marketers….) As someone who is a web analyst (web desinger) for a living its been [...]
